Job Summary: This position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable freight transport in a commercial vehicle across various states. You will ensure timely delivery while following all company and regulatory safety standards. This is a physically demanding role that requires strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Key responsibilities: - Safety Compliance: Operating commercial vehicles on highways and local roads in compliance with all traffic laws, company policy, and DOT regulations while maintaining a clean driving record.
- Pre-trip and post-trip inspections: Conducting thorough checks of the truck's mechanical condition, lights, tires, and cargo securing mechanisms before and after each trip.
- Loading and unloading cargo: Securing cargo using appropriate methods.
- Maintaining E-logs and paperwork: Accurately recording driving hours, fuel stops, delivery information, and other required documentation according to DOT regulations.
- Communicating with dispatchers: Maintaining contact with dispatchers to receive delivery instructions, report any issues, and update on location.
- Reporting maintenance issues: Identifying and reporting any mechanical problems with the truck to the appropriate personnel
Equipment
Late-model equipment: Tractors are 3 years old or newer and trailers are 6 years old or newer
Tractors governed at 72 MPH
Driver-friendly amenities including TV, refrigerator, APU, and heated/cooled seats
Hometime Flexible home time based on your location and needs
Most drivers are home on weekends
Depending on where you take your hometime, you could have hometime during the week.

Vacation and Holiday Pay Qualifications:
- Valid CDL A
- Valid Medical Certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience operating a tractor-trailer in the last three years
- Knowledge of DOT safety regulations
- Clean MVR
